For my magazine i have chosen to create an RnB, pop magazine. I have chosen these genres for my magazine because they are the most popular genres in the music magazine with a mass target audience which will be around the ages of 16-20 for teenage girls, this is my main target audience group. The magazine that i will create should contain elements of existing magazines such as Vibe and RnB magazine, although i will adjust my magazine to ensure it has recognizable synergy such as a well known logo or masthead, typography so as it has its own unique selling point. I will use main music magazine conventions in the issue i create to draw an audience attention, such as celebrity gossip, album reviews and gig guides, i will relate these elements to targeting teenage girls. The rival magazine which i will have for my magazine is most likely to be vibe.
